I've
meant to write you sooner but we've been busy with Thanksgiving, work,
Peter's birthday coming, Christmas decoration, but mostly with our new
kitty!
He is great fun and very loving. He is sitting in my lap right
now,
purring. He has a particular fondness for me, likes Tommy, and has
adjusted to Peter's high voice and active body.

We are working very hard to preserve his natural good nature and loving
attitude. The second night we had him, he pulled a ragdoll trick
on me.
He crawled under the covers by my feet during the night. I fell
back asleep and awoke several hours later to find him still there.
I panicked thinking he surely must have suffocated! I drug his
body out from under the covers. He was limp in my hand. Oh
no!! Wait, what's that? He's purring.... Sigh, relief.
I don't worry about him now each night as he crawls between the sheets.
He is surprisingly very vocal and demanding! But we have fallen
for his sweet ways and given into his demand.
The cat box with the new litter in it was a great toy in the beginning.
It made such a neat sound when he jumped in it, scratched in it, and
threw it out of the box. But now it's just a cat box and is used
for it's designated purpose. The glamour wore off.
I wanted to let you know that we are enjoying him so and yes, we love
the little guy.
I'll write more later! Laura and Marshmellow

The boys are doing
beautifully and I am 150% satisfied with them! They took
a couple of days to warm up to me (as expected,) but now they follow me
around from room to room and are pretty affectionate kitties.
My boyfriend and I recently purchased a purebred lab puppy. Well, at first I was
bit
concerned that the puppy might hurt or frighten the kitties so I was "on
guard." But much to my delight, the puppy LOVES the kittens and vice versa.
They play literally for hours on end and the Lynx baby in particular, has
formed a special relationship with Sheriff, (the puppy.)
Sheriff carries him around gently in his mouth (by the scruff of the neck like
the mama cat would
have done.) The first time I saw him do it, I panicked and thought that the
kitten was probably in pain or scared to death. But as soon as Sheriff sets him down, the Lynx runs at him immediately begging for more attention! It is
just too funny!
The ColorPoint (I still am cogitating on names, though I have
actually narrowed it down to under 10!) doesn't inspire the puppy to pick him
up though, only the lynx, so it is somewhat of a mystery! The kittens
sometimes curl up on the sofa with Sheriff and take naps, but at night, the
kittens sleep in the bed with us........pouncing on our toes every time we
move our feet!
The ColorPoint is truly already exhibiting that signature
Ragdoll "limp posture" when I pick him up and cuddle him. He gets so
relaxed
he almost feels boneless!

I
just love these guys & I praise your name constantly as the best
breeder in the world! Even as I recently deconstructed the
carefully constructed carrier which you sent Gilbert & Sulli to
me...I thought...Barbara really loves her kitties & is so careful
with them.
Thanks again & Love from...

Bonnie is doing very well. She has integrated herself completely into the
family. She now uses the litter box that big kitty uses, and has full run
of the house. She really enjoys playing doll house with Savannah.
Savannah has a large doll house and when she is setting up the toys in it,
Bonnie will lay inside it and look through the front door. I've taken
several pictures of course! I'm really surprised that Bonnie likes being
around the little girl, most cats don't care much for children. She's such
a sweetheart.
She has shown no signs of stress or fear. She is investigating everything
and running to my feet when I walk into the room. I left her alone in my
bedroom for about a half hour, when I went in to check on her, I called her
several times and I kept hearing this strange chirping sound. I realized
it had to be her, and I was afraid she was hurt. She wasn't of course, she
was laying by my sewing table calling back to me with a very high pitched
chirping sound.
I always wondered if a
Ragdoll could truly be "different" from other cats, I now know they
are very different. She exudes love and trust, it's hard to explain to
someone who has never had the privilege of loving one. I honestly tell you
she is everything and more than I ever expected. I love her to pieces
already!!
Thanks so much for
raising her so well, she is a picture of health, and obviously a very stable and
well adjusted kitten. I couldn't be happier!

I cannot begin to tell
you how HAPPY I am with this sweet little girl!!! She is such a doll!!
I am trying to figure out how I lived without her, after only one day!
We
played a lot yesterday, she is so curious about all the things in her room!
She loves to sit on the kitty tree and look out the front window. I have a
lot of birds around and she thinks they are neat!
Last night I was going
to bed, and she hopped up on the bed and walked up my body and came right up to
my face and licked my nose! She curled up next to my neck and went to
sleep! If she wasn't on my neck, she laid right on the pillow by my head
all night, except for the occasional trip down to grab some food and water!

Biscuit Boy loves those little furry colored mice. In fact, they are his favorite
fetch toy. When he's not playing with them, he places them in his food
dish
(and eats around them). In fact, he won't eat his food unless there is a mouse
present in the bowl. Sometimes he has as many as four or five in there.
Two nights ago I got home to find muffin looking at their water fountain. I
have the Hammacher Schlemmer cat watering fountain with filter and all.
He had placed one of the purple mice in there and the entire mechanism and water was dark purple - with the colorless, sad looking, soggy mouse
floating at the top. Biscuit Boy ran up to me and his little face was
purple (obviously occurring when he drank the water). Such a character.

Stories:

He is the absolute sweetest little lover, particularly in the mornings. His
latest is EXACTLY at 6:15 (five minutes before my alarm rattles), he runs as
fast as he can from the foot of the bed and head butts my forehead with his,
at which time he collapses like a Ragdoll, purring so loud. It's another
one of those things you just have to crack up at (even though you probably
shouldn't laugh and encourage).
It was so sweet a
couple evenings ago -- his little red mouse that mommy #1 sent
with him -- was sitting on the bed when I was turning in for the night. I
tossed it on the floor and he quickly pounced on it and brought it right
back to me. If we did it once, we did it fifty times. It was 11:30
pm and I
could tell he wasn't wearing out at all after about 15 minutes of this, so I
said "No more Biscuit Boy." turned out the light and laid back.
A minute
or so later, he had dropped the mouse on my face, not wanting to give up.
It was all I could do not to crack up laughing.

Here's a picture of
Hannah and Kalapana. They've bonded and are great
together. At night she snuggles up with Hannah and shares her pillow or
may even gently ease Hannah off. I've seen Hannah w/o her pillow on many
an
occasions.
Kalapana just had a check up. She's doing very well and weighed in at 17.5
pounds at 1 year of age.
Thank you Barb!

Love Affair:

Dear Barbara,
We thought you might enjoy this latest picture of Gary
and Shasta watching early morning TV together!
What a constant delight she is--and so very bright.
She loves to play "chase" and "peek." She'll run up to us
and actually demand to play! Frequently she'll grab the
back of our legs to get our attention--no claws
though--she's very gentle. The other day when Gary and
I were cooking dinner together she made the most gosh-awful
squawk and I thought one of us had accidentally stepped on
her. I turned around and there she was: back arched, eyes
wild, ears back, tail poofed up, and ready to take off
running through the house as soon as we looked at her!
"Good grief mom and dad! Why are you cooking dinner when
you should be playing with the wonderful me!"
She's really a talker--answers every time we speak to her.
For example, we'll say, "Good morning Shasta, how are you
this morning?" And she'll trill in response.
She's sooooooo loving--snuggles up and loves to be petted.
She grabs at our hands with both her little paws if we dare
to stop petting her! We've never before had a cat that
liked to make a lot of eye contact--of course we've never
had a Ragdoll before. She gazes lovingly into our eyes and
purrs happily.
Shasta has only one bad habit. She loves to eat the
blooms off my African Violets! Until Shasta I had
absolutely gorgeous violets--about 10 of them. Now I have
6 miserable plants left and where there should be flowers
there are just pitiful little stems sticking up! And she
knows that she's not supposed to eat them. She stands
right there with her little nose in the leaves, making eye
contact with me the whole time as she daintily picks a
flower off and munches away. Then she jumps down and
dashes happily through the house! Truth be told, I'd much
rather have her than the violets anyway, and she knows it!
We're so thankful for her and so glad that you breed such
grand and wonderful kittens!

Hi Barbara,
I just wanted to update you on
how Sweetums and I are getting along. Simply put… I can’t
imagine life without her. She is a great big shining light
in my life. She is affectionate, playful, and cheerful.
Every day she does something to make me laugh, whether it is
playing at ambushing me, playing fetch, dancing with her
back arched, or just being the curious kitty that she is.
She has been very good about using her scratching post, and
when she plays, she doesn’t use her claws. She is the most
wonderful companion animal I’ve ever had, and I look forward
to many long years with her.
I hope you will still be
breeding cats when the inevitable crossing occurs for
Sweetums. I think part of her wonderful personality is due
to the love you showed her when she was a tiny kitten. Her
guileless nature and ease with people show that she was
always treaded with love and gentleness.
Anyway… thank you again for
such a wonderful addition to my life.
Kind Regards,
Michael

| Thank
you for helping us find Baxter. He has been one of the best parts of
our lives and brings us joy every day.
We get
compliments on him from friends, family and strangers. He is a
delight and reflects the high
quality breeding and care you provide.
I would recommend
you to ANYONE wanting to start or expand their Ragdoll family.
Sincerely,
Dale Sizemore |

Can
you believe that Andy is almost a year old?! Wow, this year has
flown by.
We have had soooo very much fun together. I truly don't know what
I'd do without him. He's such a funny little guy. Sometimes I
wonder if he's really a dog...he fetches and growls! He refuses
cat treats, but loves to chew on rawhide puppy chews, and once in a
while when we're at my mom's house he sneaks some puppy food.
He really loves
his toys. He packs them around with him wherever he goes.
Every morning I wake up to a bed full of toy mice and his favorite
stuffed snowman (he has a "more the merrier" attitude when it
comes to bedtime).
I gave him that snowman the night we brought him home. It's
minus an arm right now, and has had a couple major surgeries and sew-ups
but I can't bear to throw it out.
We hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Give everyone
loves!
Meows and kisses;
Jessica & Andy
